Chapter 1363

---

Remington’s icy gaze fixed on Elsa. “If you didn’t mean to hurt anyone, your whip wouldn’t have been aimed at Miss Moore.”
Elsa’s panicked eyes pleaded with Hannah for help.
“Please, I’ll apologize. I’ll make it right! “I’ll pay whatever you ask, whatever it takes! I was just so desperate to win, I wasn’t thinking straight!”
Wallace arrived at the racetrack, his presence commanding silence among the nearby whispers.
Seeing Hannah unhurt, Wallace’s stern face softened a tad.
His intense gaze landed on Elsa. “The Compton clan has always stayed out of Austin business! What you pulled today, mark my words, won’t be forgotten!”
Everyone knew about Wallace’s tough tactics in the business world, but he rarely got hands-on. Today was different, though. The tension around him dropped like a stone!
The Austins paled but kept silent, knowing it wasn’t the time to speak up.

Elsa, who was usually a bit spoiled, was now downright terrified under Wallace’s glare. Tears streamed down her face.
With things heating up, cooling Wallace down without sorting this mess seemed improbable.
Remington’s expression soured as he ordered, “Get her out of here!”
“Rhett, help!” Elsa screamed, cowering behind her brother.

In stepped Amelie, trying to play peacemaker. “Hannah, Elsa’s an Austin, and you’re unscathed. Let’s go easy on this.”
Elsa, feeling supported, looked to Hannah Like she’d found her lifeline. “Right! You’re fine, we can sort this out!”
“Amelie, how can you stick up for others when you can’t even fend for yourself?” Hannah, always quick-witted, fixed her gaze on Amelie.
“The race fiasco this morning-don’t think blaming a racer absolves the Chadwichs.”
Amelie’s face visibly shifted at Hannah’s words.
Feeling Wallace’s gaze on her, Amelie flashed a smile at Hannah. “I genuinely didn’t know but ignorance isn’t a get-out-of—jail-free card. I’ll make sure the Juarez family and you, Hannah, get the lowdown on the track chaos.”
“Nice words but actions speak louder.” Hannah had seen through Amelie’s game back at Jade Paradise.
She found Amelie’s act utterly sickening. “Better come clean to the Juarez family.”
Hannah narrowed her eyes, shooting a smile at Amelie. “My dad says we’re all one big family. Your Chadwich racer wouldn’t harm me on purpose, right?”
Their exchange hushed the crowd. All eyes were now locked on them.
As Amelie’s facade wavered, Joselyn jumped in. “How could you think my mom would harm you? Why do you think so low of her?”
“She’s your mother, not mine.”
